Vicki Hodges has a huge passion for bringing singers and self-classified ‘non-singers’ together to make exciting music. She’s been involved in choirs in one way or another for over 20 years and originally trained as an opera singer in both England and Italy.
Vicki worked with the Sing with Us service of choirs for people affected by cancer (at Tenovus Cancer Care) for six years, launching and running hybrid research project choirs in Guildford, Brighton, Sutton and Chelsea until the coronavirus forced the Sing with Us England choirs to permanently close.
The thing Vicki loves most about running choirs is bringing out people’s unique voices. In her work with thousands of people, she is yet to meet someone who is really, truly tone-deaf and loves to help people build strength and confidence in their own voice through learning and performing great music.
She is also a confidence and wellbeing coach for performers and creatives, and strongly believes in championing peoples’ skills, stories and experiences – something that had just naturally been happening in rehearsals even before she discovered coaching.
