If you have a lung condition, or are looking for a way to improve your breathing while doing something fun and relaxing in a welcoming community, then Singing for Breathing might just be for you!
We run a weekly wellbeing singing group specifically designed for anyone over 18 with breathing conditions. Our sessions are run in partnership with Sutton Health and Care respiratory team and Sutton Primary Care Networks, combining the fun of singing with evidence-based breathing techniques.
Research shows that singing for breathing can work wonders - it helps you feel more in control of your breath, improves posture, strengthens your speaking voice and helps to manage symptoms of many breathing conditions. Plus, you'll meet a load of new people who are part of a wonderful community!
We meet every Tuesday in the Mallinson Room at Wallington Library up to 50 weeks a year. We always start every session with a cuppa and a chat from 1.30-2pm then we sing from 2-3pm.
Like everything that Sing out Sutton offers, these sessions are completely free to attend. As a charity, we appreciate any donations you can offer to help keep our services running, but there's absolutely no obligation.
We welcome newcomers throughout the year, but please contact us before your first visit so we can prepare everything you'll need and give you a proper welcome. Just get in touch to let us know when you'd like to start!
